Mr. Bryan LaBrecque of the Kosho Karate and Martial Sciences School in Biddeford, ME, recently received national and international recognition from the International Martial Sciences Federation (IMSF) for his qualifications in and contributions to martial sciences in the state of Maine. The awards presented to Mr. LaBrecque included a citation of appreciation for his dedication to training and teaching martial sciences in Maine, and a Level III International Instructor Grade from the IMSF.  The awards were presented during a two-day special training event presided over by John Viol, Director of the IMSF and Dr. Michael Dunphy, Director of the Ohio Martial Sciences Federation.  Also in attendance were other United States members of the IMSF including fellow students and instructors from Maine, Massachusetts and Ohio.

The IMSF is a very selective and prestigious organization dedicated to the propagation of authentic, true and validated martial sciences.  Mr. LaBrecque was the only martial instructor in the state of Maine who met the stringent requirements mandated by the ISMF.  Mr. LaBrecque, is a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and a professional instructor in the martial sciences.  The awards were presented at the conclusion of 3 days of extensive training focused on practical and effective personal protection including various armed and unarmed technologies.  Mr. LaBrecque has 40 years of experience teaching and training in the martial arts and sciences and offers training for adults, teens and children at a professional level not available anywhere else in the state of Maine.
